Financial Information

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    95% of undergraduate families with an income less than $75,000 received grants & scholarships in an amount greater than the full cost of tuition. Lehigh awards the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship to admitted transfer students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs. Recipients will be recognized with a $5,000 scholarship per academic year (distributed by semester) above and beyond any need-based financial aid.

    Our cost of attendance averages $73,250 per year, but you won’t know for sure how much Lehigh will cost you until you apply for financial aid and receive your financial aid notification.

Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Lehigh University welcomes applications from transfer students who are currently enrolled at other two- or four-year colleges or universities.
  • Transfer Agreements:
    Lehigh University has transfer agreements with Northampton Community College (Pennsylvania) and Montgomery County Community College (Pennsylvania).

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required of transfer applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    All students must be in good academic standing with their previous college to be eligible for admission to Lehigh. Official college/university and high school transcripts are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Lehigh University will adopt a test optional policy for the SAT or ACT during the 2020-21 year.
  • Essay:
    An essay is required.
  • Application Fee:
    $70
  • Other Requirements:
    A Transfer College Report from your current institution must be submitted via mail to Lehigh Enrollment Services Center, 218 West Packer Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only courses with a grade of "C" or better will transfer. A grade of "C-" will not transfer under any circumstances. Pass/Fail credit and non-credit courses are not acceptable for transfer. Transfer grades are not calculated in the Lehigh GPA.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A max of 60 credits from a two-year institution, and 90 credits from a four-year institution will be accepted. You must complete 60 credits at Lehigh to earn your bachelor's degree.
