Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Although there is no specific grade point average requirement; most admitted transfer students have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above.
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official postsecondary and high school transcripts is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    You must have your official SAT reasoning test scores reported to KSC from the College Board. Test scores will not be accepted on the high school transcript or paper photocopies.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A Transfer Applicant Confidential Recommendation Form completed by the Dean of Students must be submitted.
  • Essay:
    A short writing piece and a 250 word personal essay are asked for on the application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a nonrefundable $40 application fee.
  • Interview:
    Keene does not publish a requirement for a personal interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credits received at a regionally accredited institution of higher education, if completed with a grade of C or higher.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    To receive an undergraduate degree from Keene State, students must attain matriculated status before starting their final thirty credit hours of work toward a degree.
