Information for Transfer In Students

  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    Vocational credits are not accepted.
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Pacific Oaks has two options for students with 5 to 10 years of work experience to earn credit for their life experience, Bachelor Completion or Bachelor Waiver.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Sealed Official Transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended are required. If a transcript does not include work in progress, a copy of your current registration must be submitted.
  • Essay:
    Pacific Oaks requires a personal statement of 500 or more words to be submitted with your application. The statement will be used as a writing sample, so make the essay integrative and cohesive.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $55 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    Please submit a Work and Volunteer Experience Summary on a separate sheet of paper, listing positions, employers, and ethnicity/ages of people with whom you worked, dates of employment (to/from), and a short description of your duties.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The minimum grade required for transfer credit consideration is C.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Admission to the B.A. degree program requires completion of an associate's degree or a minimum of 60 semester units. A maximum of 90 units may be transferred into the B.A. in Human Development degree program.
