JCC has remained committed to the humanities and liberal arts while expanding to meet the social imperatives of vocational education and community service. Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum requirements for admission are graduation from an approved secondary school, or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and acceptable scores on the American College Testing Assessment Tests.
  • Official Transcripts:
    High school and college transcript(s) are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT/ACT scores are not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required.
  • Essay:
    Not required.
  • Interview:
    Not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    New students are required to take the placement exam unless the student has transfer or advanced placement credit for ENG1530 or transfer mathematics credit. Applicants to the nursing program have additional admission requirements.

  • Transfer Agreements:
    JCC has articulation agreements with over 40 institutions. JCC representatives are continually updating existing articulation agreements and negotiating new agreements.
  • Special Programs:
    The Counseling and Career Development Centers have transfer services that include advising and Transfer School Visits.
