College transfer can be a challenge.  It can be complex and expensive.  On the other hand, college transfer can save you thousands of dollars when planning and patience are applied.  This is why we added a new ebook to our site that gives you a look at the top fifty colleges and universities in the country and shows how you can graduate from some of the finest schools in the country by following  transfer agreements they publish.  If you want to sign up for it, just click here.

College transfer often means you have to take more courses to graduate and more credits, since some credits and courses won't count toward eventual degree requirements.  It can be 12 or more credits on average per student who transfers once because of the transition between schools is not always seemless.  Traditional students who attend just one institution and graduate often follow a straighter line and take less credits.  Some course credits are not counted and this often requires you to take additional courses to satisfy requirements.

Whether you are coming back to college with some courses under your belt, or just thinking about changing schools, planning is key.  Spending a little bit of effort up front can save you thousands of dollars and in some cases, a year or more of time.  We call this the "transfer tax" and we are here to help you avoid paying it.

College Transfer is often complicated by lack of access to institutional policies and procedures.  Don't worry, you are not alone. Six  in 10 students who complete their undergraduate degree are now transfer students.  This is a little known fact, in higher education circles.  We can help you overcome the challenges, no matter where you are in the transfer cycle.

CollegeTransfer.Net is a national clearinghouses of transfer policies and information.  We need institutions to help us help you.  The content to support student mobility today is scattered over thousands of websites.  It is a monster job to find how best to transfer, and who will give you the best environment to finish your degree, if that is your aspiration. This is where we can help.  If you need someone to talk with, to help track down answers, we are here for you.  AcademyOne and CollegeTransfer.Net are not affiliated with any specific institutions, so we can provide you with independent advice.

Many of the questions and needs you have, others have, also.  So, as we help you, we will continue making improvements to content and processes on this site.  If the advice is solely for you, we will keep it private.  Our goal is to help you transition to the best destination, and to help you achieve your goals.  If you need help figuring out the options, we are the best source of information anywhere in the world.  Please contacts us.  There is no cost.  Our time and effort are subsidized by our sponsors, who are independent of institutions, as well.
